Insurance
We’ve made every effort to contract with every insurer and below is a list of insurances we accept. If you do not see your carrier here, please call our office. We do not accept any “vision plans,” so if you have a vision plan and it’s possible there will be no medical diagnosis, please ask your insurance company how best to proceed. Finally, if you fail to show up for your appointment without notifying us in advance, you will be asked to provide a written explanation to our office before you can rescheduled that appointment.

As the only Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Western Massachusetts, we assumed Tricare would honor your need for my services and add me to their panel of providers, but we were wrong. Tricare prefers that you travel to Boston for your child's eye care needs. Having served as an Army Battalion Surgeon, I was happy to provide your child’s care for free until Tricare completed its credentialing process, but now I would ask that you contact Tricare directly and tell them how you feel, ... I'd be pretty angry.Tufts Health Plan Spirit Network

Ophthalmology is the specialty of medicine that addresses the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, so medical services provided by an ophthalmologist are normally covered by your health insurance policy. As a medical care provider, we are out of network with all routine vision plans, which are designed to provide coverage for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
